Before Your Treatment

• Consultation is Key: Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with our expert injector. We will discuss your aesthetic goals, review your medical history, and develop a personalized treatment plan. This is the time to ask any questions you have.

• Pre-Treatment Guidelines: To minimize bruising and ensure optimal results, we recommend:

  • Avoiding blood-thinning medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, and supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba for 5-7 days prior (with your doctor's approval).

  • Limiting alcohol consumption 24-48 hours before your appointment.

  • Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

During Treatment 

• Comfort First: The treatment area will be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure your comfort.

• The Injection Process: Using a fine needle, our skilled injector will perform a series of micro-injections into the deep dermis of the skin. The poly-L-lactic acid solution is carefully placed to create a framework that stimulates collagen growth.

• Massage: Immediately after the injection, we will massage the treated area. This is a crucial step to ensure the product is evenly distributed and to help prevent the formation of small bumps.

After Your Treatment: Recovery and Results

1. Immediate Aftercare: You will be given specific post-care instructions, which include:

   • Massaging the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days after treatment. This "rule of 5s" is vital for smooth, even results.

   • Applying ice packs to reduce swelling and mild discomfort.

   • Avoiding strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours.

   • Staying out of excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga) and sun exposure for several days.

2. Initial Side Effects: It is normal to experience some swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites. These effects are usually mild and subside within a few days.

3. The Sculptra® Timeline:

   • Right After: You may see initial smoothing due to the water in the solution, but this will fade within a few days.

   • The First Few Weeks: The real magic is happening beneath the surface as your body begins its collagen production process.

   • Final Results: You will begin to see your new, natural-looking volume and contour gradually emerge over several weeks to a few months. A series of 2-3 treatments spaced a few weeks apart is often recommended for optimal, long-lasting results that can last over two years.
